Educators, instructors, mentors, tutors, coaches, professors, pedagogues, and in the case of Brainy Bunch... Aunties, these words refer to teachers. As inspiration to students, teachers play a very crucial role in shaping the future, and there is no profession more noble than that of a teacher. They are role models guiding learners in gaining valuable life skills and contributing to their character development.
A career in teaching allows you to positively impact society by influencing the mindsets of the younger generation and enabling them to integrate into the community successfully as young adults.
As Nelson Mandela quotes:
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Teachers facilitate learning. They nudge students to be curious about the world we live in. They encourage us to imagine beyond the borders of our vision. They guide us through the path of knowledge acquisition. For these and much more, they deserve acknowledgment and recognition. Giving them a special day is the littlest we can do for them.
In many countries across the globe, the international teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th October every year. World Teachers’ Day has grown in popularity over the past decade as people all over the world ramp up efforts to ensure inclusive and quality education is provided for all, and to promote lifelong learning opportunities worldwide. Here in Malaysia, it’s the 16th of May.

As adults, we remember great teachers who inspired and encouraged us to pursue our dreams. The amazing teachers we had in school had a big influence on us. They taught us the values and morals that are important to us as adults.
Happy Teacher’s Day, Feliz Día del Profesor (Spanish), يوم مدرسين سعيد Yawm mudarisin saeid (Arabic), Alles Gute zum Lehrertag (German), Selamat Hari Guru, Glad lärarnas dag (Swedish), Lá na Múinteoirí Shona (Irish), Gratulerer med lærer dagen (Norwegian), Öğretmenler gününüz kutlu olsun (Turkish), Buona festa degli insegnanti (Italian), and Boldog tanárok napját (Hungarian)… no matter what language we say it, our gratitude for all teachers comes from the very core of our hearts.
It is said that, “Better than a hundred days of tedious study is a day with a GREAT teacher!”
For all that you have done for the students past, present, and future… We wish you all the blessings you deserve.
